For its new Linea Rossa campaign, Prada has picked prizefighters—boxing champions Italian Roberto Cammarelle, American Bernard Hopkins, and a Briton from Pakistan, Amir Khan—to sport their shades. The glasses get in on the action, too, with sport-inspired names like Prada Upper Cut, Prada Jab, and Prada Barburner. [WWD]

Despite what you may think, Daphne Guinness doesn’t overthink her outfits. “The more you concentrate on something, the more it shows. I can’t get dressed if I think about it too much,” she explained to British Vogue. “I don’t dress for effect, and I think that it never works out when someone does.” [Vogue.U.K.]

Seven years ago, photographer Koto Bolofo was granted unlimited access to the secret workshops of Hermès by the company’s chairman, Jean-Louis Dumas. This month, the results of his labor come to life in his 11-volume book of photographs, La Maison. NEW YORK – Lady Gaga will release a book of photographs with fashion photographer Terry Richardson.

Grand Central Publishing announced Thursday that it will release the book, “Lady Gaga,” on Nov. 22. The publisher said the book will include more than 350 color and black-and-white photographs of Gaga.

Richardson followed the singer for 10 months between Aug. 2010 and Feb. 2011. That time period includes Lady Gaga‘s Monster Ball tour and the recording of her album “Born This Way.”

Lady Gaga will write the book’s forward.

On Thursday, the pop star surpassed 12 million followers on Twitter.

July is coming to a close and for many of us, days at the beach this summer are numbered. I already have my go-to suits and oversized sun hats for this summer, but I’m still on the hunt for the perfect beach tote. While designers (and by default, editors) have been gravitating toward more compact, small bags in recent seasons, the beach tote is generally the exception.
